MERCURY RETROGRADE

It's that time again! Mercury officially goes Retrograde on Monday, November 14, 2005 and goes direct on Sunday, December 4th. Because the Earth is "The Third Rock From The Sun," there are two planets closer to the Sun: Mercury and Venus. Mercury appears to be retrograde three times a year.

Even if people do not pay attention to Astrology, they know that some thing, somewhere outside of themselves is messing up their lives from time to time. In the Astrological community, Astrologers have acknowledged three notorious planets that create enough disorder to warrant special caution. Of the three, Retrograde Mercury is our "Achillies Heel" for the next three weeks. Mercury is retrograde approximately 23% of the time, which is to say that you spend a significant amount of time wondering why everything Mercurial is topsy-turvy. Mercury presides over the five senses, the intellect, anything electrical, all forms of communication like written agreements, contracts, verbal arrangements, letters and email, telephones, computers, messages, messengers and the spoken language. Anyone with natal retrograde Mercury can experience his mind and intellect feeling extraordinary!

Wherever Mercury is in your chart, is where you'll feel the most activity-good or bad. Mercury presides over the signs Virgo and Gemini and makes its retrograde station at ten degrees in the sign of Sagittarius. Virgo and Gemini natives will feel the effects strongly as well as anyone who has Sagittarius within three degrees either way of Mercury's station at ten degrees.
